Our regular monthly meeting will be held on Sep 1st. The building will be open at 5:00 for set up and then beginning at 5:30 we will have a time to mingle with other club members.
The monthly meeting will begin at 6:00 pm. We will start with a little business and the instant gallery. Bring a piece of your work and show it off to the other members.
After our business, Ronnie Bowman will demonstrate snowman turning techniques, featuring a design inspired by Tomislav Tomasic and incorporating techniques from Alan Lacer, Richard Raffan, and Stuart Batty.
Snowmen are excellent for honing spindle turning skills and making great gifts. Since these items are typically made in quantity, the demonstration will cover methods to minimize production time and increase shop efficiency. Ronnie’s 5-year-old granddaughter will also help demonstrate how easy and fun assembling the snowmen can be.
